Wolves make brilliant little addition at Compton Park that perfectly sums up Vitor Pereira’s reign so far

It has been a brilliant past few months for Wolves fans.

Having endured an horrendous first half of the season, the picture has totally changed at Molineux following the arrival of Vitor Pereira.

The Portuguese came in in December and his appointment did raise eyebrows.

Mainly because he was at Al-Shabab, and he had barely spent any time at the Saudi outfit and several clubs before that.

But Pereira embraced the challenge at Wolves, and has been a revelation.

He’s kept Wolves in the Premier League with ease in the end, and Pereira has won fans over with his passion.

What has been very apparent in recent weeks is the togetherness of the players, coaching staff and fans – and the essence of that has now been captured at Compton Park.

One of the reasons Pereira has been able to get results at Wolves is because he has improved the dynamics behind the scenes.

When Gary O’Neil left, the dressing room wasn’t in a particularly good place and emotions were running high.

But now, under Pereira, it’s more harmonious, and everyone has bought into what he is trying to do. Alan Shearer noted Pereira has also instilled confidence and belief into the players, which have undoubtedly been key to the improvements.

This Wolves squad is now built on togetherness and work ethic.

And that togetherness was perfectly captured after the win over Tottenham Hotspur. Wolves released a brilliant photo showing all the players in a line, soaking up the applause of the Molineux faithful.

Wolves have now framed that photo, and hung it on a wall at Compton Park.

A brilliant touch from Wolves

Clearly, this is an attempt to hammer home the importance of being together and reinforce the ‘One Pack’ mentality.

If anything, it really does sum up Wolves under Pereira so far.

The scenes after the win over Tottenham were extremely refreshing, and a far cry from what we saw after the defeat to Ipswich town in O’Neil’s final game in charge when it all kicked off.

Wolves will eventually hit some poor form.

So having that photo on the wall at Compton will serve as a reminder of better times, and hopefully encourage the players to think positively in tough moments.
