Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is currently out on loan at Sheffield United.
The Blades have just sacked their manager Slaviša Jokanović and Paul Heckingbottom has taken over.
Blades CEO Stephen Bettis, said: “Disappointingly, after a slow start, we have not seen an improvement in results, performances and we’d prefer to be in a better league position.
“A decision has been made and now it is important that we look forward, Paul’s style and ethos matches that of the club and we will support him where possible.”

That change has an impact on Gibbs-White, around whom there has been plenty of talk about his next move.
Wolves could recall him in January but Jokanovic had made it clear that he thought Gibbs-White wanted to spend the season at Bramall Lane.
It remains to be seen whether Gibbs-White features so heavily in Heckingbottom’s plans.

Jokanovic also had a repuation for playing attractive passing football, and Gibbs-White was doing well in that setup.
He had seemingly nailed down a role on the right of United’s 4-2-3-1 system.
But Jokanovic would not have lost his job if that formation and gameplan was working as intended.
It remains to be seen how Heckingbottom’s appointment affects Gibbs-White and Wolves will be watching the situation with interest.
