Wolves are working hard to appoint a new manager, and today Rui Vitoria has been linked with the vacancy at Molineux.
Wolves sacked Vitor Pereira on Sunday, with the defeat against Fulham proving to be the final straw for the hierarchy.
Pereira bit the dust and then last night, Wolves announced that Domenico Teti had followed the Portuguese out of the club. Teti had come to Molineux in June having previously worked with Pereira at Al-Shabab.
Fans are now hoping to see the club name a successor to Pereira as soon as possible.
With the Chelsea game looming on Saturday night, it would be ideal if Wolves could get someone in ahead of the contest.
And one man who’s been mentioned as a possible replacement for Pereira is Rui Vitoria – but fans have voiced a common concern.
Wolves fans have reservations about Rui Vitoria

It had been expected that Wolves would reappoint Gary O’Neil as manager, until the Englishman dramatically withdrew from the running.
Wolves had immediately contacted O’Neil when they decided they were sacking Pereira, and everything looked to be on track.
In the end, he could not agree working conditions, and some have also suggested that the backlash online played a part in him walking away.
Now, Vitoria is in the frame.
Vitoria has been out of work since September, after he was sacked following a year at Panathinaikos.
Wolves fans have been talking about him today on X – and seemingly some don’t feel he’s up to the task, with some concerned by the fact he’s had several clubs over the past few years.
@t_j_mcg: “Last three jobs, he’s failed and been sacked. Partial success at Benfica (not hard) before awful run and sacked. Sounds ideal!!”
@SamFonsecaa: “I like Rui Vitoria as a coach, but I don’t think it’s what Wolves need right now. Especially if he doesn’t get backed by the board in terms of transfers.”
@CallumD_4: “Wolves 🤝 Portuguese managers with CVs longer than your arm.”
@BG__85: “All well and good people winning titles in leagues where they have better players than most other teams but I don’t think those are the credentials we need right now. I could be wrong though.”
Rui Vitoria’s managerial credentials

The reservations from some over Vitoria are understandable.
Wolves have obviously just gone down the route of hiring a manager from overseas who has had many jobs, and it did not work out.
Some are pointing to Vitoria’s status as a ‘journeyman’ like Pereira and feel this may not be a smart appointment.
Rui Vitoria’s record at Panathinaikos
Games managed – 43
Wins – 23
Draws – 9
Losses – 11
But Vitoria has had some success in his managerial career, having won two Portuguese league titles with Benfica and the league title Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr.
His preferred formation is an attacking 4-3-3, which is what Pereira had been using in the main during his last couple of months in charge.
We’ll see if Wolves make an approach, but it’s highly doubtful this would be a universally accepted appointment.
