Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen reveals one of his aims this season, fans will love it

Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen has stated who he is aiming to scoring past next season, and his answer will delight the Molineux faithful.

After seasons without bringing in a major striker, Wolves finally dipped into the transfer market this summer and brought in a new man up top.

Larsen signed for the Old Gold in July and quickly took the number nine shirt away from outcast Fabio Silva

The Norwegian was highly clinical in La Liga last season and netted 13 times. Now, there is hope he can improve upon this tally at Molineux in the upcoming campaign.

In preparation for the new season, Larsen was asked who he is aiming to score past and his answer will certainly please fans.

One of the highlights of the 2023/24 campaign came in the FA Cup. Wolves travelled to the Hawthorns to take on West Brom in the fourth round.

Despite crowd trouble, O’Neil’s side came away with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Pedro Neto and Matheus Cunha

It was a memorable moment as it not only achieved the club’s first victory in the Black Country Derby for years, it was also their first win at the Hawthorns this millennium.

Now, Larsen is aiming to repeat this feat for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign. When asked who he is most looking forward to scoring against this season, he responded: ‘West Brom in the cup’.

It is already clear to see early in Larsen’s career that he is going to be a fan favourite. The striker is already saying all of the right things.

Netting his first goal will no doubt be the biggest challenge for the Norwegian, especially with the opening fixtures Wolves face. However, if he can score early into the season, it will no doubt be a huge weight off his back.

A clinical number nine has been missing from Molineux for the past few years and if Larsen can quickly get fans on his side, he will no doubt be a special addition.
