Wolves took the lead through Rayan Ait-Nouri, who turned in at the back post with a header after a great ball by Joao Gomes.
Rodrigo Gomes, who Wolves fans feel could be the next Pedro Neto, continued his good form by scoring, after a great move that involved Andre, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Goncalo Guedes.
But a Scott Twine free-kick gave the hosts hope ahead of the second-half.
Wolves managed to see out the game, but the game should have been more comfortable than it was in the end. Vitor Pereira lamented Wolves’ lack of cutting edge after the game.
But Wolves held out for the win, and have now learned who their next opponents will be.

But it could still be a tricky trip, with Rovers currently sitting 7th in the Championship table and hoping to secure promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season. They’re just a point behind West Bromwich Albion in sixth at the moment.
