Wolves have just done Youri Tielemans dirty on their official Twitter account

Wolves beat Leicester City 2-1 on Sunday, and it was a great day at the office for Daniel Podence.

The winger was in fine fettle, and looked a threat at every turn.

Wanderers did not play particularly well as a collective in the game. They had a few decent spells, but the Foxes definitely applied the pressure throughout.

But thankfully, Wolves were able to dig deep and secure three big points.

And Podence was the man who got the winner.

He struck from the edge of the box after good work from Rayan Ait-Nouri and Leander Dendoncker, giving Kasper Schmeichel absolutely no chance.

It capped off a great individual performance from Podence, who has been looking very lively indeed in recent weeks.

The 26-year-old really was at it from the first minute, and midway through the first-half, he really got fans off their seats.

He collected a loose ball from a Wolves corner and was then greeted by Youri Tielemans.

The Belgium international tried to prevent Podence from getting his cross in, but the diminutive ace twisted and turned several times to create an opening, drawing gasps from the home fans.

It was brilliant play, and a shame that Ait-Nouri couldn’t provide the finish.

If Tielemans thought that would be the end of it, he is sadly mistaken.

The official Wolves Twitter account tonight uploaded the clip, featuring the very cheeky caption ‘Just @daniel_podence sending Youri Tielemans for a hot dog’.

Daniel Podence capable of magic, as Youri Tielemans found out

It was a tremendous piece of skill from Podence to create the space to provide a cross.

Podence can seriously ooze quality at times. With him, it’s simply just about being that bit more consistent. He is certainly in a very good moment right now. He took his goal with aplomb and we need more of that.

Hopefully if Tielemans sees the post from Wolves he’ll take it in good spirits.

He can at least take heart from the fact he played a pivotal role in Leicester’s goal, although he’d no doubt much sooner have been on a winning team.
