Wolves are the only club without a point in the Premier League so far, but have done one thing more than any other team.
Vitor Pereira had hoped for a positive start, but it’s been three defeats to open with so far – against Manchester City, Bournemouth and Everton.
Wolves are potentially set for a very difficult season after so many departures.
The players that left provided Premier League experience, and several had the ability to change games in an instant.
The new signings that have come in are effectively all gambles, and fans have questioned the club’s transfer strategy.
But we will now see what this squad can do, and so far, Wolves are doing one thing more than any other team.
Wolves top for crosses into the penalty box

With the system that Wolves play, there is a lot of demand on the wing-backs.
They have to be lively to get up and down, and they also have to be creative outlets.
The loss of Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo could potentially really sting for Wolves, but there is hope that Jackson Tchatchoua and David Moller Wolfe can be decent replacements.
Hugo Bueno and Ki-Jana Hoever are also options for the manager.
So far this term, despite the poor start, Wolves are at least getting the ball into the box fairly regularly.
According to The Athletic, Wolves have got the ball into the penalty area 12 times so far in the Premier League, which is more than any other team in the division.
Both of Wolves’ goals so far this season came from crosses.
Undoubtedly, Jorgen Strand Larsen and new signing Tolu Arokodare will be pleased to learn this, as they’ll be the ones looking to put away these deliveries.
Dave Edwards thinks Wolves will be a big crossing team
With the addition of Arokodare to the squad, it makes total sense why Wolves would be looking to get the ball into the box from wide positions.
And we know Strand Larsen is also a big aerial threat, as he reminded everyone recently against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.
Dave Edwards has talked about this tactic in his latest E&S column, saying: “From a tactical point of view that Wolves’ main source of goals will probably come from crosses into the box.

It’s already happened this season when you look at the goals against Everton and West Ham.
“If you know the ball is going to come in from out wide, you can have runners from midfield and the striker can get across their man to make something happen.
“Without the creativity of Matheus Cunha or Rayan Ait-Nouri, Wolves have to look at different ways of hurting teams and using the width and crossing ability will be our best chance. Keeping Larsen is so important to that.”
