Wolves’ record against Leeds does not bode well for them, but Vitor Pereira will be looking to shake off any historical precedents.

The Old Gold also fail to make Molineux their fortress early in seasons, and that could prove to be a sticking point against Daniel Farke’s side.

However, Pereira has been handed a boost ahead of Saturday with Leeds receiving a triple blow.

Daniel Farke has spoken to the media ahead of his side’s trip to Wolves on Saturday and the German has provided a fitness update on his squad, and it includes a major boost for Wolves.

Farke says that Daniel James is a major doubt for the game stating, “he is struggling with a hit in the core muscle so a major doubt also for this game.”

Meanwhile, Willy Gnonto is also a major doubt with Farke saying he is “struggling with some calf problems. Missed a few training sessions so late calls with both of them but I have to say major doubts.”

Gnonto and James both being major doubts is positive news for Wolves, with both players starting three out of four of their fixtures so far.

Additionally, the Leeds manager confirmed that Lucas Perri is completely ruled out, “He is also out for this game and next week I would say we will have a clearer picture of how long he will be out. Like I mentioned for these two away games, we won’t have him available and Karl [Darlow] will play again.”

Wolves sweating on their own injury issues

Wolves fans will also be waiting on injury updates for some of their stars.

Jorgen Strand Larsen’s injury was described as ‘day to day’ in the last update, and the return of the Norwegian would be a major boost for Saturday.

Jose Sa was ruled out last week through illness, so he will likely be available, but Sam Johnstone could have given Pereira a selection headache with his performance against Newcastle.

Ki-Jana Hoever has also been out injured for the last few weeks, and could find it difficult to force his way back into Pereira’s plans upon his return.

Hugo Bueno impressed as a right wing-back, and new arrival Jackson Tchatchoua will likely be ahead of him in the pecking order too.
