Some of the 17 players Wolves saw leave for international duty are finished after today’s action.
Two of those are Wolves midfield duo, Joao Gomes and Andre, who were in Asia with the Brazil team for a couple of friendlies.
As Vitor Pereira gets his players back, he can start properly preparing for Sunderland at the weekend.
As of yet, there have been no injuries to concern the Wolves boss, so he should have a full squad to choose from ahead of a crucial match against a newly promoted side.
Good news for Vitor Pereira
With that in mind, Pereira will be delighted to have his preferred midfielders fresh and ready to play.
We know this because neither Joao Gomes nor Andre saw the pitch over the international break.
Pereira has been experimenting with the squad in recent games, but those two are as nailed-on as anyone to start for Wolves.

The midfield three will be a change, and it will be interesting to see who the third midfielder will be, but you can be sure the two Brazilians will feature. Their quality hasn’t diminished despite Wolves’ struggles, as evidenced by Carlo Ancelotti’s decision to call them up.
But the players themselves may hold a different perspective.
Joao Gomes and Andre won’t be as thrilled
The two Wolves stars have reason to be confused after they were left on the bench for both friendly outings.
They would have heard Ancelotti say he was nearing a decision on the Brazil squad he will take to the World Cup, and that he wanted to get an impression of the Wolves duo.
But he elected not to use them. That’s great for Wolves fans, but not so much for Andre and Gomes.

There is heaps of competition for places in the Brazil midfield, and every other position for that matter. That means they need to impress, which is hard to do from the dugout.
Another positive for Wolves might be the extra motivation for them to hit a fine vein of form and ensure they are involved in the Italian’s November plans.
