Wolves full-back Ruben Vinagre has officially sealed a loan move to Farmalicao after struggling for minutes with Olympiacos.

The 21-year-old will spend the rest of the 2020/21 season with the Portuguese outfit, along with fellow Wolves youngster Bruno Jordao and Leonardo Campana.

The decision was taken by Wolves to end Vinagre’s spell with the Greek giants early, after he had made only four appearances for the club.

The youngster struggled to adapt, and was unable to dislodge Jose Holebas from the starting XI.

Vinagre will now embark on a fresh challenge, and hopefully find regular minutes easier to come by back in his homeland.

It is vital for him to have a strong end to 2020/21 if he wants to become a regular back at Molineux.

Nuno Espirito Santo currently has some good options at left-back/left wing-back in the form of Fernando Marcal and Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Jonny Castro Otto will soon be returning from injury.

Hopefully, the £30,000-a-week star (Spotrac) being among Jordao and Campana will help him to settle quickly, and he can feel comfortable and show what he is all about.

On social media, the star took to Instagram after sealing his move, posting the message ‘Que comece’, which translates to ‘Let it begin’.

There was plenty of support for Vinagre in the comments over his fresh start, including messages from Wolves teammate Pedro Neto and Manchester City star Joao Cancelo, who said ‘Strength in this my kid’.
