Wolves fans yet again left frustrated with £16m player’s performance vs Leeds United

The search for a first Premier League point continues for Wolves this season after yet again falling to defeat vs Leeds United, and fans are upset with one man’s performance.

There were not many positives to take away for the Old Gold, but Fer Lopez’s brilliant assist had fans raving. The Spaniard was subbed off at half-time as Vitor Pereira switched to two strikers up top.

The Portuguese manager will no doubt be under pressure by fans even with the recently announced new contract.

However, the Molineux faithful are more vocal about another Wolves man at the moment.

Wolves fans unhappy with Emmanuel Agbadou’s performance once again

Emmanuel Agbadou has been far off the levels needed for Premier League football this season.

There have already been calls for Agbadou to be placed on the bench rather than start, but so far Pereira has stuck to his guns.

In his own words, the 57-year-old admitted the Ivorian has not been up to standard, making his persistence all the more confusing.

On Saturday afternoon, Agbadou played a poor pass for Leeds United’s third goal, and has been credited with an error leading to a goal. Fans took to social media throughout the game.

One fan said, “Playground stuff from Agbadou.”

Meanwhile another supporter stated, “No Andre again, Agbadou playing every game despite being rubbish. That’s not Fosun, that’s Vitor!”

One Wolves fan said, “How many bad passes that result in goals for the opposition does Agbadou have to make for there to be a change?”

Another supporter stated, “Agbadou has looked good going forward just a shame he’s forgotten how to defend.”

It is safe to say the Wanderers faithful are growing impatient with the 28-year-old.

It is quite the unlikely fall from grace, as the defender was one of Vitor Pereira’s most consistent and best performing players last season.

Emmanuel Agbadou stats vs Leeds United

While on the surface it looks like Emmanuel Agbadou had a good performance against the Whites, his stats do not tell the full truth.

Unfortunately for Agbadou, the only stat that truly matters here is the error leading to a goal.

The mistake put the game out of reach for Wolves, and asking a side who have struggled to score to put two past a resolute Leeds United was one step too far.

It is yet another error among a list of poor displays from Agbadou this season.
