Wolves fans have very much enjoyed watching Andre since the midfielder signed from Fluminense on transfer deadline day.
The star was the penultimate signing of the summer for Wolves, joining in a £21 million deal.
It was somewhat surprising that Wolves were able to land him, as he has been tracked by some big clubs in recent times, such as Liverpool.
His signing perhaps wasn’t totally necessary, with Wolves really needing a new centre-back. But the star has undoubtedly looked a class-act so far, and he won the club’s Player of the Month award for September.
Over the international break, Andre has been with the Brazil squad for their games against Chile and Peru.
Last night, Andre started on the bench for Brazil which will have been a relief for Gary O’Neil – but he did come on in the second-half for a cameo.
Andre doesn’t waste a single pass in cameo for Brazil against Peru

If there is one thing Wolves fans have come to learn about Andre so far, it’s that he is extremely tidy on the ball.
The 23-year-old is a master of ball retention, and hardly ever gives it away.
On his full debut against Newcastle United, Andre completed all 40 of his passes. No debutant has ever made that many in a Premier League game with 100% accuracy.
Andre’s passing has remained at a very high standard since.
So far in 2024/25, Andre has the highest pass completion rate in the Premier League of 95.8%.
Last night for Brazil, Andre came on for the final 15 minutes or so to replace the injured Bruno Guimaraes, who had taken his place in the starting XI.
It was a typically tidy performance from Andre, who did not waste a single pass during his time on the pitch – completing 15/15 for 100% accuracy (via Sofascore).
Admittedly, it was a relatively easy game for Andre to come on in, with Brazil already 4-0 up and cruising. But it was still a controlled performance from the Wolves man.
A decent international break for Andre
Andre has played for just under an hour across the two games over the international break for Brazil, which O’Neil will be fairly pleased about.
Andre has already established himself as a key player for Wolves, so O’Neil needs him back in the best condition possible.
There is potential for him to return a little jaded due to the travelling. But thankfully, Wolves’ game with Manchester City is on Sunday, and that extra day will be key.
It will be interesting to see if Andre starts the game.
O’Neil will surely be very hesitant to drop him even if he isn’t 100%, such has been his quality in his first few games after joining. There is a strong argument to say that Andre has been Wolves’ best signing ahead of 2024/25, and he will be hugely important this season.
