Matheus Cunha is a popular figure at Wolves – and his latest post on Instagram will only endear him to the fanbase further.
The mood is low around Molineux at the moment given the club’s poor start to the new season.
Wolves have lost four of their first five games, and Gary O’Neil finds himself under mounting pressure, although it’s thought his job isn’t currently under threat.
It was always going to be tough given the fixtures.
But fans have been concerned about the way Wolves have dropped off in games, going on to lose from winning positions.
Then, there was news of Yerson Mosquera likely being out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, which left fans dismayed.
So it’s all a bit doom and gloom, but Matheus Cunha at least gave Wolves fans a reason to smile yesterday evening.
Eagle-eyed Wolves fans spot something cheeky in Matheus Cunha’s Instagram post

The Wolves players are gearing up for a big game against Liverpool this weekend.
The Reds come to Molineux and are looking to inflict more misery on Wanderers.
Cunha will be important as always for Wolves, and hopefully he can add to the two goals he has scored so far this season.
Cunha is a very loved figure at Molineux. Supporters have taken to him a lot since he arrived in January 2023 for around £44 million from Atletico Madrid.
He just seems to ‘get’ what it means to play for Wolves, and his infectious personality makes him extremely easy to root for.
Cunha is also not above a bit of cheekiness every now and then.

The player uploaded some pictures on Instagram last night, showing himself working out in the gym ahead of the Liverpool clash.
Some Wolves fans spotted that in one of the pictures, Cunha himself was on one of the TVs – and it was when he celebrated scoring against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup at the Hawthorns last season.
Cunha scored to make it 2-0, and gestured to suggest that he owned the stadium in one of the most iconic celebrations by a Wolves player in years.
What a man
Cunha’s post is bound to bring smiles to Wolves fans’ face, as they think back to that fantastic day against West Brom.
Arguably, that 2-0 FA Cup win was the last big high for Wolves fans, and things have really tailed off since.
That was probably the day that Cunha truly endeared himself to the Molineux faithful, and the celebration will not be forgotten in a hurry.
Wolves fans are longing for more moments like that but for the moment, it looks as though it will be all about simply weathering the storm.
