Wolves fans vote on who let them down most vs Liverpool, there was one clear winner

Despite a valiant effort from Wolves, they still succumbed to defeat against Liverpool, and for fans, there is a clear player who performed the worst.

Mateus Mane was one player who impressed on the day, earning high praise from Rob Edwards, but at Molineux News, we felt Joao Gomes stood out the most.

Tolu Arokodare was another who had quite a good game, and he felt Wolves finally started to play as a team.

However, while those two forwards played well, fans believe the third man who joined them up top was not quite at the same level.

Should Rob Edwards listen to Arne Slot and play two up?🤔

If not… what should he do?

Hwang Hee-chan has failed to impress Wolves fans over the last year, but the South Korean, no doubt, still has a lot to offer.

Performances when he has played centrally have shown he can be an asset in the Premier League, but against Liverpool, his deployment out wide left a lot to be desired.

At the time of writing, 79% of Wolves fans have voted him as the worst performer at Anfield for the Old Gold.

You can still cast your vote in the poll below.

Hwang Hee-chan has often been an unfair scapegoat at Molineux, and it is not always his fault. The forward is constantly tasked with roles that do not suit his style at all.

Time and time again, Hwang has found joy when down the middle of the pitch; he is not a winger.

Rob Edwards needs to stop using Hwang Hee-chan out wide

Rob Edwards has been impressed with Hee-chan over recent weeks, but he must stop playing him out wide.

Hwang showed against Arsenal he can be a threat on the counter when positioned centrally, and while he may not have the quality anymore to start regularly, he can be a great addition off the bench.

You can never question his work rate, and he always gives his all, but sometimes, being played in a position that does not highlight your better qualities disrupts that hard work.

Used in the right role, Hwang could still be a key impact player for Wolves this season. Sometimes the criticism is somewhat harsh for a player who gives his all.
