Some Wolves fans are pleading with Nuno Espirito Santo not to let Dion Sanderson leave the club this summer, amid reports Sunderland want to turn his loan permanent.
The Daily Mail have claimed Black Cats officials have been impressed with the 21-year-old’s progression in recent weeks and are now exploring the possibility of a transfer.
Manager Lee Johnson has thrown his backing behind a potential deal if he is to leave Wolves.
Sanderson’s contract will have just one year left to run by the time he gets back to Molineux, and a conversation will certainly be had about what the next step is for him.
Sanderson’s has been growing in stature in recent weeks, and has now started the last four league games.
The level he’s been showing has wowed Sunderland fans, and many are stating he has the capacity to play in a higher division.
They will hope that will mean the Championship with them, with the club currently fifth in the table.
On social media, some Wolves fans have been discussing the report about Sunderland wanting Sanderson on a permanent deal, and it seems many are opposed to seeing that happen:

Quality and versatile, surely would fit Nuno’s plan? Would be a ridiculous decision

Hopefully not as this lad looks the business and surely has a future at Wolves. Put a £25m price on him and frighten bidders off.

If he’s good, let’s keep him. We need more options from the bench
