Some Wolves fans have been discussing midfielder Vitinha on social media, and the start he’s had at the club.
The 20-year-old is currently still struggling for minutes at Molineux having arrived in the summer on a season-long loan from FC Porto.
The Portugal U21s star has made 11 appearances so far, but only started twice in the Premier League – against Manchester United and Brighton – and in the EFL Cup defeat to Stoke City.
The rest have just been cameos, meaning fans have been unable to gain a clear understanding of what he’s all about.
The youngster has offered glimpses and shown good technical quality.
But at this point there is certainly a lot of work for him to do if he is to turn his move to the Black Country permanent.
But his quest for regular minutes has seemingly just gotten a fair bit harder, with the club choosing to bring Morgan Gibbs-White back from his loan spell with Swansea City.
He is an attacking midfield like Vitinha, and he’s already made three appearances since returning.
Since MGW has been back on the scene, Vitinha has been handed just four minutes of game time, and some fans have been suggesting the Vitinha needs to be above the former in the pecking order and playing ahead of him:
Should be starting ahead of MGW.

Needs to get more game time. I dont get why we are spending 20+m for him and not giving him any minutes

Much better prospect than MGW

Too soon to tell. Needs a run in the side. Glimpses of real talent and loved at Porto. Should be in front of MGW

What little I’ve seen of him impressed me. Far better than MGW.

Don’t know why he’s immediately fallen behind MGW in the pecking order. Needs more time but that assist for Neto against Chelsea has already put him in my good books.

Very comfortable on the ball, looks intelligent, finds some space to recieve. I personally would sign him, loads of potential.

Didn’t deserve to be pushed out by MGW

Better than MGW and should be above him in the pecking order. Kept possession well in the games he had played.. needs a run in the team with Neves and Donk.
