Wolves suffered a disappointing defeat against Crystal Palace, and Emmanuel Agbadou has come under criticism for his performance.
Agbadou joined the Molineux outfit back in January – a move that has proved itself as a masterstroke from the recruitment team.
The Ivorian has been a mainstay in Vitor Pereira’s defence, with Agbadou even earning praise from Jamie Carragher for his performances.
It hasn’t been all plain sailing for the defender, however, with recent displays against Brighton highlighting faults in Agbadou’s game.
With that being said, Wolves fans believe they have spotted another area of improvement for the 27-year-old following their defeat against Crystal Palace.

Wolves fans say Emmanuel Agbadou’s passing was ‘awful’ vs Crystal Palace
Despite scoring Wolves’ opener on the night, Agbadou earned a disappointing 4/10 rating at Selhurst Park.
The Ivorian was arguably at fault for Palace’s first two goals and couldn’t seem to complete a pass all night – something that has been highlighted by Wolves fans post-match.
One fan said via X (formerly Twitter): “Agbadou been shocking tonight his passing has been awful and lost the ball to many times. 4th goal his fault. Suppose he’s allowed a bad game though as he’s been class up until tonight.”
A third fan stated: “Agbadou’s worst game – on the beach ??”
“Although he got his goal, Agbadou has been really poor tonight,” added another supporter.
Agbadou stats back up Wolves’ fans worries
Having made such an impact in securing Wolves’ safety, Agbadou can be excused for going slightly off the boil in recent weeks.
His passing was a particular worry on the night, though, with the defender only managing to complete four of his ten attempted long balls.
Emmanuel Agbadou stats vs Crystal Palace | |
Minutes played | 90 |
Match rating | 6.2 |
Goals | 1 |
Accurate passes | 86/97 (89%) |
Accurate long balls | 4/10 (40%) |
Duels lost | 4 |
Agbadou did manage to complete 89% of his passes, but the ones he did misplace ultimately cost Wolves dearly, as shown by Palace’s fourth goal of the game.
Given how impressive he has been since arriving at Molineux, Wolves fans will be hoping this is just a one-off from the Ivorian.
