Wolves are looking to get their first Premier League win at the ninth attempt today against Burnley, and some fans have shared their feelings about the game this morning.
It has been a very difficult season so far, with Wolves bottom of the table on two points.
Things looked to be improving a few weeks ago when Wolves went three matches unbeaten against Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.
But last weekend’s defeat against Sunderland has set the team back a bit, making this game today with Burnley huge.
Vitor Pereira has struck a defiant tone ahead of the game, in the hope of inspiring his players to three points.
He wants his players to take the game to Burnley, and certainly, there cannot be another start like against Sunderland.
This morning, with kick off just hours away, some fans have been sharing their feelings about today’s game at Molineux.

Some Wolves fans very nervous for Burnley game

Pereira has suggested today’s game with Burnley is must-win.
Steve Bull also thinks Wolves must beat Burnley, or risk the fanbase turning.
Without a doubt it is the most important game of the season so far, and with a lot riding on the contest, there are plenty of nervous fans this morning on X, with kick-off just a couple of hours away.
@JackHowles: “Dreading Burnley at home, how’s it come to this #wwfc”
@Bullseyetips: “Dreading today, hope I’m wrong… Wouldn’t want to be Jeff Shi/Vitor/players if we actually lose today. Will be absolutely toxic #wwfc #wolves
@Wolfenblack: “Well if the Wolves hierarchy thought we will be OK, the teams coming up will be worse than us, that’s gone out the window. I hope we beat Burnley, but when (there are) expectations of a possible win we rarely show up of late. I hope I’m wrong today.
@1madchef: “I’m nervous about it… Lose today and we are the worst team in the league… A win would give us just a little hope.”
Wolves players must rise to the occasion vs Burnley

It’s a huge day for Wolves, who have got to win today to get the ball rolling.
A draw just isn’t ideal at home against a team expected to also be fighting against relegation this season, and losing is downright unthinkable.
The players have to start quickly today and immediately get the crowd onside. Many will be doing their utmost to support the team, but Wolves can’t find themselves in a situation where they lose the crowd.

It’s going to be vital to not let Burnley get a foothold, and Wolves have got to be clinical when the chances come. So far, Wolves have created just five big chances in the Premier League, and that will need to greatly improve moving forwards, hopefully starting today.
It is little wonder some fans are dreading today’s game because there is simply so much riding on it.
But it is now time for the players to stand up and be counted, get that elusive first win and then use it as a catalyst going forwards.
