Wolves manager Vitor Pereira hasn’t overseen a win in the Premier League yet this season, but is set to sign a new contract at the club.
It has been claimed that Wolves and Vitor Pereira are now close to reaching an agreement over a new contract.
It is something that has been in the pipeline over the summer, after Pereira did a fine job of keeping Wolves up last term.
Pereira came in midway through last season, and guided Wolves to safety in impressive fashion, at one point going on a six-game winning streak.
Fans were lapping up Pereira’s work and loved how he connected with them.
The mood in the second half of the season was the complete opposite to the first, as Gary O’Neil struggled to pick up results.
So it now seems a matter of time regarding Pereira signing a new contract at Wolves – but some fans are sharing the same concern today.

What Pereira did last season was nothing short of remarkable.
Wolves looked down and out around Christmas time, and the dressing room was not in a particularly good place and fans were very unhappy.
But Pereira did a great job of restoring harmony and getting everyone to pull in the same direction.
However this season, Pereira has overseen four losses in the Premier League and Wolves look set to struggle.
And some fans are now questioning why Pereira is being given a new contract amid the current struggles, with some thinking back to how Gary O’Neil got a new deal but was sacked just months later.

New contract puts Pereira under pressure to deliver
This is a questionable decision from Wolves.
No one is taking away from the brilliant work Pereira did last season, but the picture has now changed and Wolves have started the new season poorly.
It is understandable why some feel this is perhaps not the best time to be handing Pereira an improved contract. Indeed, some fans expressed concern about Pereira after the latest defeat to Newcastle.
It now puts the manager under big pressure to deliver. He has been backed with new players, coaches and even a new director of professional football in Domenico Teti.
If he signs this new contract but loses the next few games, he and the board will come under fire from the fans.
