Wolves fans send messages to Ki-Jana Hoever after Chelsea draw

Some Wolves fans have been sending messages of praise to Ki-Jana Hoever, after the young defender put in a great performance against Chelsea yesterday.

The teenager was something of a surprise inclusion in the starting XI yesterday.

Nelson Semedo had played every single Premier League game this season barring the opener against Leicester City because he was isolating.

Bruno Lage stated after the game that he chose Hoever because ‘he can be more aggressive and understands the role to play as a winger’.

Seemingly, the manager was also keen to rest Semedo.

The 28-year-old has been in terrific form this season and was brilliant against Brighton in midweek.

Lage said he was happy for Hoever after his solid performance against the Blues.

And that is a feeling shared by a lot of Wolves fans, after the player recently made an error against Liverpool.

Hoever replaced the injured Raya-Ait-Nouri in stoppage time against the Reds, and he misplaced a pass on the counter. Liverpool then went on to score through Divock Origi.

After that game, Hoever apologised on social media.

There was never any need for that, as Bruno Lage rightly stated.

Yesterday was Hoever’s chance to bounce back, and he absolutely did that.

He needed to play and play well in order to move on from it.

Yesterday the £13.5 million star was really good for Wolves and deserving of his manager’s praise after the game.

Fans have been sending messages of praise to Hoever on social media for the way he bounced back and for showing character:
