Wolves fans have been reacting to Bruno Lage telling Patrick Cutrone to stay at the club and prove himself.
The star has enjoyed a good pre-season in which he scored one goal against Real Betis.
The 23-year-old had been tipped to depart Molineux this summer.
Last season was one of real frustration for him having warmed the bench at three difference clubs.
But it seems Lage has seen something in the Italian striker.
The fit-again Raul Jimenez will likely be playing the bulk of the games for Wolves.
But Lage did use his preferred 4-4-2 system earlier in pre-season, suggesting the Mexican could often play with a partner this term.
Lage said (via Shropshire Star): “You are here two years, every time on loan, but the fans are singing your song, so you need to prove something on the pitch.”
On social media fans have been giving their reactions to Lage’s comments.
Some are a little surprised, but are behind a potential season of redemption under a new coach for Cutrone:
I’d like him to be given the change alongside Jimenez potentially. Will never succeed dumped on the right wing every time he’s subbed on though.

Well it seems Bruno wants him at Wolves and is willing to give him the opportunity. He’s a damn sight better than Willian Jose.

Tbf when you watch him in training bids and stuff when he looks relaxed his such a natural finisher. It just seems that when he gets on the pitch he’s trying way to hard to impress , instead of relaxing and letting it come naturally

If Bruno can get in his mind, there is a player in there that could break out of his shell. This is what Bruno is said to be great at… come on Pizza Guy … show us what you got!
