Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting to a very interesting statistic regarding VAR.
VAR has become a big part of today’s game.
Some people like it, and others absolutely detest it.
And then there are some who believe it is a good concept, but could be applied better.
One thing is for sure, it is one of the most significant changes in football in recent years, and it’s here to stay.
VAR can often leave fans feeling hard done by.
If it overturns something and the decision ends up going against your team, it is difficult to then forget that moving forwards and shake that feeling of bitterness.
But which teams have benefitted the most from VAR?
Well, certainly not Wolves.
According to Amazon Prime Sport, Wolves have actually had the fewest overturns (6) from VAR since the start of the 2019/20 season.
The stats include only ever-present clubs from the 2019/20 season.
Top of the pile are Manchester United and Brighton, who have had a staggering 19 overturns in their favour.
On social media, some Wolves fans have been reacting to the data.
Many are shocked to see how little ‘help’ Wolves have had from Premier League officials.
Some sarcastically responded to say that they were surprised Wolves have had as many as six overturns:
I’m amazed we’ve had 6.
