Some Wolves fans have been reacting to Simon Jordan’s comment that he could see Rafa Benitez becoming manager at Molineux if Nuno Espirito Santo departed.
The former owner of Crystal Palace was speaking on talkSPORT about the Spanish tactician, who is currently unattached after leaving Dalian Professional FC last week.
Jordan is not such a fan of the way the 60-year-old presents himself to the media.
He believes he is about himself, and questioned his decision to move to China if he considered himself to be an elite manager.
But motormouth Jordan can see Benitez going to Wolves if Nuno were to leave Molineux.
He said (talkSPORT): “We’ll see, back he’ll come, with all the sentiment to go around him and people will be saying he should be shoehorned into a job.
“But I can see him maybe landing at places like Wolves, if the tarnish really comes on Nuno Espirito Santo.”
The comments led to some discussion on social media about the notion of Benitez to Wolves.
Nuno has been under a little bit of pressure this season for the first time since taking over, but there’s no indication that he’s anywhere close to the sack.
There is probably more chance to him leaving for a bigger club than that happening given all that he has accomplished at Molineux.
Here’s what some people have said about the idea of Benitez becoming the next manager of Wolves if Nuno was no longer in the picture:
He would deffo be the man, if Nuno did ever get the sack.

Yep. Very good manager

I don’t see us as too big/important to have a manager of Rafa’s calibre… but equally I can’t believe how lucky we are to have a manager of Nuno’s talent and potential… and I don’t ever want to think of a time when he is not at the helm…

Hypothetically, yes but I don’t want Nuno to leave, I want him to turn things around and continue the good work he had done.
