Wolves fans have today been reacting to the sad news that striker Sasa Kalajdzic has suffered another ACL injury.
The 26-year-old limped out of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Bundesliga match with SC Freiburg at the weekend after just 11 minutes.
Kalajdzic went down under no contract and immediately grabbed his knee.
The striker was withdrawn, and he was then seen on the bench with a knee brace on.
Fans had really hoped that it would be nothing serious, but sadly, word has arrived today that it is another ACL injury for Kalajdzic…
Eintracht Frankfurt confirm worst fears as Wolves striker Sasa Kalajdzic suffers third ACL injury of his career

Earlier today, Eintracht put out the statement about Kalajdzic that everyone had been dreading.
The club said on their website: “The striker suffered a rupture of the cruciate and lateral ligaments in his right knee on Sunday in Freiburg and will be out indefinitely.
“Eintracht Frankfurt wish Kalajdzic a good and speedy recovery.”
Kalajdzic’s appearance against Freiburg was only his sixth for the club since joining on loan from Wolves in January.
Journalist Liam Keen reported this afternoon that at this stage, no decision has been made regarding if Kalajdzic will return to Wolves for treatment, or stay in Frankfurt.
Kalajdzic and his wife Lorena recently became parents for the first time and it may be in their best interests to stay put in Germany.
Wolves fans react
Needless to say, there has been great sympathy today for Kalajdzic on social media.
This is the third time in his career that Kalajdzic has suffered a serious knee injury, having had one at Stuttgart and one at Wolves – both occurred straight after joining each club.
It will likely be another very long lay-off for Kalajdzic. With his previous injuries, he was sidelined for 10 months with the first, and then just under a year for his second at Wolves.
If there’s one thing that has been very clear about Kalajdzic since he came to Wolves, it’s that he is a very warm person, and it is truly terrible for someone like him to have such horrendous luck with injuries.
With this in mind, some of the messages from fans today are completely understandable:
