Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting with concern to a claim that the club are preparing for the possibility of Nuno Espirito Santo leaving the club.

The 47-year-old is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur (Express), who earlier this week sacked Jose Mourinho.

Nuno’s fantastic work for Wolves over the last few years means his stock is high.

2020/21 may not have been the best of campaigns, but it is thought he is still held in high regard.

The Mail say that Bruno Lage, Rui Faria and Vitor Pereira are all being lined up as possible replacements should Nuno go.

All three are out of work at the moment, and have close links to Jorge Mendes.

Nuno has cut a forlorn figure at times on the touchline this season.

It has undoubtedly been the most challenging period of his tenure so far for a variety of reasons.

That said, he did sign a new contract last year, and he has never hinted he could be about to jump ship.
