Nuno Espirito Santo joined Tottenham just weeks after his departure from Wolves in the summer.
He had a hard time of it in north London; he was clearly not the club’s first choice and he had to deal with the Harry Kane saga which dominated the summer.
Spurs never felt like Nuno’s team and it was little surprise when he was sacked following the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last month.
That experience cannot have been easy and he would be forgiven for taking a rest and some time out of the game.
During that time away from the game, Nuno returned to Wolverhampton to visit the Angel Inn Bar & Grill in Bilston.
The original photo can be seen on their Facebook page here.
Some Wolves fans on Twitter had their say on the photo, which underlines the former Molineux boss’ enduring connection to the city.
Here is how the image went down as the international break draws to a close and Wolves prepare for their clash with West Ham…
That's really nice to see did a huge amount for this club and that should never been forgotten sadly we have some bitter fans when players or a manager moves on. Even worse some revaled in his failure at spurs 😠 😡

Great to see him back again in Wolverhampton. Will never forget what he did for the club but also the huge donation he made from his own pocket. What a gentleman 👍🏻👏😁
