Wolves fans have been giving their reactions to the news that Nuno Espirito Santo has officially now become the new Nottingham Forest manager.
Forest have confirmed this morning that the former Molineux boss is their new head coach, after sacking Steve Cooper yesterday.
Cooper has been relieved of his duties, with his final game in charge being the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last Friday.
In his penultimate game against Wolves, Cooper looked very emotional after the 1-1 draw at Molineux as he applauded supporters after the final whistle.
There was a feeling that a decision was coming and after losing his next game, the Reds have now acted.
It has not taken them long to find a successor, with former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo the man chosen to steady the ship.
Nuno, who’s signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground, has been out of work since getting sacked by Saudi club Al-Ittihad at the start of November, just months after he delivered a league title.
It was only a short spell there for Nuno, who had of course been the manager of Tottenham Hotspur before that.
His stint at Spurs just didn’t work out, but Nuno – who was actually linked with a return to Wolves after the sacking of Bruno Lage last year – still carries a decent enough reputation for all he achieved during his four years at Molineux.
Nuno, 49, guided Wanderers out of the Championship and established the club in the Premier League, overseeing back-to-back seventh-placed finishes. He also led Wolves to an FA Cup semi-final and Europa League quarter.

Wolves fans react as Nuno Espirito Santo becomes new Nottingham Forest manager
Forest’s appointment of Nuno has certainly prompted a big reaction, both within the Forest fanbase and for neutrals.
Not all Reds fans are on board with the appointment, with many still not happy about Cooper’s sacking. Some also feel that Nuno’s last couple of jobs do not make him a particularly good candidate.
But many Wolves fans who still adore Nuno have also been reacting to the news today, and many have lept to the old Molineux gaffer’s defence against some of the skeptics, as he prepares to get going in English football once again…
