Wolves fans react as Manchester City rip Leeds apart

Wolves fans have been reacting to last night’s result that saw Manchester City rip Leeds United apart 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League champions and current leaders were imperious against Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites.

Despite not fielding a striker, City recorded their biggest win of the season.

Kevin De Bruyne was the star of the show, helping himself to two goals.

Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and Nathan Ake got the others.

It was a real statement result from City, and it came just days after they defeated Wolves 1-0 at the same ground.

The task became more difficult when Raul Jimenez got sent off just before half-time. But Wolves’ game plan nearly paid off.

In the end, a penalty was the visitors’ undoing. And replays showed that the ball hit Joao Moutinho’s side. It was something of a travesty that the decision was allowed to stand

Wolves defended superbly well and afterwards, Pep Guardiola seemingly took a bit of a swipe saying they ‘didn’t want to play‘.

Asked for his thoughts about that, Lage said he didn’t care what the Spaniard thought.

Wolves fans react to Manchester City 7-0 Leeds United

On social media, Wolves fans have been giving their verdicts on last night’s game between Manchester City and Leeds United.

Guardiola didn’t like the way Wolves set up against his side, but ultimately it almost paid off.

Wolves were certainly always in the game and were always in with a chance of taking a point.

The game was arguably lost for Leeds once City had scored their second goal. It was definitely over at the time of the third just after the half hour mark.

Some believe last night’s result gives complete justification to the way Wolves played on Saturday:
