Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have gone wild on social media, after full-back Jonny Castro Otto officially penned a new deal at Molineux.
The Spaniard returned to action at the weekend against Leicester City, starting against the Foxes for his first appearance in six months following ACL damage he suffered against Olympiacos back in August.
The ace was given 45 minutes before being taken off as was always the plan.
He did really well considering how long it has been since he last played, and fans were delighted to see him in action again.
Jonny is very much a fans’ favourite at Molineux having been an extremely consistent player since his move to the club in 2018 from Atletico Madrid, intially on loan.
So today’s news of a new contract for the player – which comes out of the blue – has gone down extremely well.
He’s followed in the footsteps on Nuno Espirito Santo, Raul Jimenez, Conor Coady, Max Kilman, Leander Dendoncker and Pedro Neto, who all committed their futures to the club in the second half of 2020, and will now remain at the club until the summer of 2025.
On social media, fans couldn’t contain themselves over the surprise announcement:

Great news. Like having a new signing the other day. Didn’t realise how important he really was until he was out injured.
