Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper John Ruddy is reportedly in talks with the club about a contract extension.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claimed yesterday there is now potential for the 34-year-old to play out another season at Molineux.
His current deal expires at the end of the month.
But it seems Wolves are hopeful of keeping the 34-year-old.
Ruddy has been with Wolves since the summer of 2017, and has made 66 appearances for the club.
He played a big part in helping the club achieve promotion back to the Premier League, but rarely plays now over Rui Patricio.
By all accounts, Ruddy is a big influence and personality in the dressing room.
He may not play that much but he is a very popular and well-respected figure at the club.
It seems lots of Wolves fans recognise this, and many have reacted positively to news of his negotiations with the club:
Makes sense to me to keep him at the club.

This makes me worried they will sell Patricio and then make him number one 😳 https://t.co/JUj6CRRiqx
