Wolves fans have been reacting to the news that midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has officially been recalled from his loan spell with Swansea City.
The 20-year-old had been due to spend the whole of 2020/21 at the Liberty Stadium, but the decision has been taken to bring the youngster back to the Black Country.

In total, Gibbs-White made just six appearances for the Championship side, with a foot fracture sustained back in October rather ruining his time in Wales.
That said, Gibbs-White starred for the Swans during the games he did play, and it seems Wolves are ready to make use of him now he’s back fit again.
There could well now be a chance for Gibbs-White to add to his 70 appearances for the club, as there has been a real lack of a spark in midfield this season.

Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker have contributed just one goal between them so far and no assists.
That has led to clamour from some for Nuno to dip into the transfer market, but it does not seem as though the club will be splashing the cash this month.
The decision to bring Gibbs-White back may well reinforce that idea.
Gibbs-White being recalled may have come as a bit of a surprise to the player, but it’s important now for him to vindicate the club’s decision.

The stage is set for him – one would think Nuno will be looking to get him back into the picture given the struggles the current crop of midfielders have had this term.
Gibbs-White is eligible to face Crystal Palace on Friday in the FA, and that fixture seems like a great opportunity for him to make his mark.
On social media, some Wolves fans seem to be optimistic about Gibbs-White’s return:
He started really well at Swansea was very impressed with what he was doing for them looked like a player we couldn’t get the full potential out of hoping he can prove that he’s developed even the slightest

Not a bad idea

Would like to have seen him carry on at Swansea as more minutes (especially as he was injured again) and to finish the job of getting experience, he was doing well apparently. Hope just the half a season has been enough to help him kick on back here

Well make sure he gets a chance in the number 10 then, as it could be the making of him
