Wolves fans question one thing ‘deluded’ Vitor Pereira said after Leeds United defeat

Wolves fell to yet another defeat in the Premier League on Saturday, and Vitor Pereira has irked fans with one thing he said after the game.

Wolves remain rooted to the bottom of the table, after losing 3-1 to Leeds at Molineux.

After starting well and taking the lead through Ladislav Krejci, Leeds hit back with three goals before half-time, which knocked the stuffing out of Wolves.

Vitor Pereira made three changes at the break, and there was a clear instruction to get balls into the box more in the second-half.

But in truth Wolves didn’t really test Karl Darlow, and deservedly lost the game following an abject display.

Jorgen Strand Larsen has admitted the mood is low now, and certainly, it is a very concerning time.

Pereira believes in the group though, although some Wolves fans questioned what he said after yesterday’s defeat.

Pereira was defiant after Wolves’ latest defeat to Leeds.

The Wolves manager has just been handed a new contract, and there is belief in him from the top.

The Portuguese has made a lot of questionable calls this season, but he believes in himself to turn things around and he also believes he has a group of strong characters.

Pereira suggested yesterday that everything can change with one good result, but some Wolves fans don’t share the manager’s confidence.

@ezzalodge: “We look a million miles from a good result unfortunately.”

@hereford1terra: “Vitor is living in cloud cuckoo land with this present team.”

@brisnick: “VP is deluded then.”

@SpeesrA: “It’s very easy to speak those words. But us Wolves 🐺 fans don’t know when the next 3 points will be happening.”

@txwy_ewan: “A good group who can’t play football tho.”

No quality and no leaders

There’s been outrage after yesterday’s performance and result against Leeds, and understandably so.

Wolves opened the scoring against a newly promoted side who had not scored an open play goal, at home.

To then ship three goals in that fashion was embarrassing, and strongly suggested there is a real mentality problem at the moment.

Wolves didn’t come particularly close to getting back into the contest and at the moment, there is both a lack of quality and a lack of leadership in this squad.

And that is a worrying combination.

Ultimately, Fosun are mainly at fault for the situation, although Pereira is certainly not blameless for Wolves collecting zero points from the first five games.
