Wolves fans are deeply unhappy following yesterday’s 3-2 home defeat to Burnley – but Jose Sa is coming in for praise today.
After Vitor Pereira suggested Burnley at home was must-win, Wolves went and lost to the Clarets, conceding in the last minute.
It was another sickener for Pereira, who has also watched his side ship late goals to Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton in recent weeks.
After the game, Wolves fans let out their frustrations, with Pereira and Jorgen Strand Larsen both looking to diffuse tensions in the South Bank.
Those scenes just summed up the mood around the club at the moment. Many fans have simply now had enough of watching abject performances while paying extortionate ticket prices.
Liam Keen gave credit to some Wolves players who fronted up to fans inside Molineux yesterday, including Ladislav Krejci, Joao Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes.
But there was also a case of a player speaking to fans outside the ground.

Jose Sa praised for fronting up to furious Wolves fans

This morning, footage has been circulating online showing Jose Sa in conversation with some Wolves fans outside Molineux.
The goalkeeper did not play against Burnley. He hasn’t played for weeks having lost his place to Sam Johnstone.
But despite this, he still fielded questions and criticism yesterday outside the ground.
And actually, this has earned the Portuguese praise from many supporters online, who reckon he is showing leadership and that he truly cares about the situation.
@davecooke1961: “Fair play Sa 👏 He wasn’t at fault yesterday or SJ, why pick on him??
@daleclarke1980: “Fair play to Sa for talking to them and actually telling the stewards that they are having a chat.
@GarthSchlager: “Big credit to the fella, he didn’t have to stand there and listen to all that, where’s all the others? Fair play.”
@Ste__83: “Sa deserves nothing but respect for this. People need to watch the video fully too & not presume it’s just an argument between him and the fans. He shakes most their hands, tells security not to radio as there’s no problem & says what we all know it’s not just on the players.”
@Johnybig32: “Always liked Sa. Don’t think he has ever been the issue. We need his passion imo.”
Jose Sa handled a tough situation well

It is unclear what led to Sa getting out of his car and speaking to the fans, but he handled a tricky situation well.
The anger and frustrations are very clear at the moment, and those supporters wanted some answers – and Sa – despite not particularly needing to – tried to give some.

Credit to him for fronting up, despite having zero involvement in the game, and not playing a minute for Wolves for weeks.
His own frustrations are clear, and he showed that he really cares about the club’s demise.
Meanwhile, there is once again radio silence from the top about the club’s plight, although that will come as a surprise to no one.
