Wolverhampton Wanderers have really felt the absence of Raul Jimenez this season.

The Mexico striker has been sidelined for over four months now, following the horrific collision with David Luiz at Arsenal which left him with a fractured skull.

The hope is that Jimenez will take to the field again before the 2020/21 season is out.

His recovery, by all accounts, has gone very well and Nuno Espirito Santo has said previously that he is totally confident of seeing the 29-year-old back in old gold before the end of the campaign.

Since he’s been out of the picture, Wolves have had to rely a lot on Fabio Silva.

The teenager was brought in from FC Porto last summer for a £35.6 million fee (BBC Sport), and has had to adapt very quickly to English football.

It’s clear he is still very raw, but Silva has definitely shown glimpses of his talent, and it’s also clear how hard he works.

Yesterday, Wolves’ official Twitter account released an image of Silva and Jimenez together, which got some fans talking.

Perhaps a strike partnership could well be in the offing at some point in the future:
