Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting to comments made by Steve Holland about Conor Coady.

The 28-year-old is officially now a Euro 2020 finalist, after England saw off Denmark at Wembley last night.

The Three Lions face Italy, and are bidding to win their first Euros, and first major tournament since 1966.

Last night was tense, with Denmark taking the lead through Mikkel Damsgaard.

But Bukayo Saka forced an own goal for the equaliser, and Harry Kane followed up his saved penalty in extra-time to give England the win.

It’s more than likely Coady will not feature against the Azzurri, and therefore will not have played a single minute at the tournament.

Despite this, assistant manager Holland heaped praise on the 28-year-old.

He said: “He’s not got on the pitch yet, but on the training pitch he gives everything.

“In the dressing room before the game, he speaks like he’s captain despite the fact he’s not been on the pitch yet. That’s incredibly difficult to do.”

Coady’s leadership qualities are well documented at this point.

Plenty of others have praised him for it, and it’s likely the compliments will keep on coming.

Sadly last season was not Coady’s finest.

That said, some of the criticism of him was overboard.

With that in mind, lots of Wolves fans were delighted with Holland’s praise for Coady, who is absolutely invaluable for the qualities he brings:
