Wolves fans have been reacting to a montage the club have uploaded of Conor Coady conducting a passing masterclass against West Ham United last weekend.

The defender was in fine fettle, spaying all types of balls from his middle centre-back position.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Coady’s passing is undoubtedly one of his best traits.

But even by his own high standards, Coady was magnificent on the ball last Saturday.

Of the 52 passes he attempted, 51 of them were successful.

That gave him an incredible pass completion rate of 98%.

With Bruno Lage keen to instil a possession style of football at Molineux, he will certainly be very happy with Coady’s ball-playing ability.

Some wondered if the 28-year-old would actually feature a bit less term following Lage’s arrival.

A few people thought Lage might have changed formation and set up with a back four. Coady in a back four is something that hasn’t gone too well previously.

But the manager has kept with the system the players grew so familiar with under Nuno Espirito Santo, and Coady has started every league game so far.

And his passing accuracy for the season is 89.5% according to SofaScore.

He is clearly highly regarded by Lage.
