Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been hailing youngster Chem Campbell, after he starred for the U23s against Fulham last night.

James Collins’ side ran out 2-1 winners over the Cottagers to make it four wins from four at Aggborough.

It was a great result for the youngsters, with Fulham top of PL2 Division 2 before kick-off.

It took only 10 minutes for Wolves to announce themselves in the game.

Campbell picked the ball up deep inside his own half on the wing, and embarked on a mazy run.

He beat a couple of players before cutting in and shooting. His effort was saved, but parried right into the path of Owen Hesketh.

It was a remarkable burst from Campbell, who did more than a lot of heavy lifting for the opener.

Campbell then got on the scoresheet himself in the second-half.

Hesketh turned provider this time, playing an inch-perfect through ball for Campbell, who finished into the far corner first time with his left foot.

Fulham pulled one back through Sonny Hilton late on via the penalty spot.

But Wolves hung on to claim the three points.

Collins’ side are now joint-top along with Fulham, Norwich City and Aston Villa.

It’s been a great start to the new season for the Wolves U23s, and Campbell is certainly looking lively.

His display last night was very encouraging, and the assist for Hesketh was genuinely amazing.

To carry the ball as far as he did was extremely impressive and the mark of someone playing with confidence. Some fans were certainly left buzzing on social media:
