Wolverhampton Wanderers fans expressed their dismay, after Yerson Mosquera suffered an injury on his competitive debut last night.
The Colombian starlet was forced from the field on a stretcher after less than 10 minutes.
It was seemingly a muscular issue for the 20-year-old.
It is a cruel blow for the youngster, who had worked hard to recover from a recent hamstring injury.
Mosquera had looked impressive in Wolves’ pre-season, but then had a month out.
Fans were buzzing to see how he’d get on against Spurs on his debut.
But it wasn’t to be for the South American, who will now undergo tests to determine the extent of his latest setback.
He was replaced in the game by Conor Coady, who had a poor night that culminated in him missing his penalty to send Spurs through to the fourth round.
On social media, Wolves fans gave their reactions to Mosquera getting injured so early in the game.
Many could not believe what they were seeing.
Obviously he had only just come back, and there was some real frustration from some, knowing he was the club’s only centre-back signing in the summer.
Good job Jeff was busy in the summer making sure we had strength in depth in defe……

Could not care less about the result but the Mosquera injury is so gutting, so looking forward to seeing him in the first team and he’s on a stretcher inside 10 mins, terrible luck #wwfc

Mosquera back in January so the club can claim they don’t need a new centre half #wwfc
