Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been discussing how Willian Jose has fared after his first month at Molineux.
The Brazilian striker arrived during the winter transfer window on a season-long loan from Real Sociedad to provide cover for the recuperating Raul Jimenez.
His arrival at the club saw Nuno Espirito Santo sanction the exit of Patrick Cutrone to Valencia for the remainder of 2020/21, with teenager Fabio Silva providing further cover at Molineux.
There was a lot of hype at the time of Jose’s signing.
Frustrated supporters have had to watch a toothless version of their team without Jimenez, and a new face was very much welcomed.
So far, Jose has made six appearances for the club, four of which have been starts.
The South American is yet to score for his new club, but his most impactful contribution was his winning of a penalty against Arsenal earlier this month – a game Wolves were able to go on and win 2-1.
Many expected him to have gotten his first goal by now, but it seems fans are generally quite pleased with what he has brought to the side. One or two are yet to be convinced:
Reckon he needs the ball a bit more; and earlier.

He hasn’t showed himself yet a lot to improve but helps our squad a lot

Still adjusting but looks good

Had very little service.

Hard to say, not mobile enough and not involved enough. However i still get the feeling that if he does get chances he probably puts them away. Not enough for the 22m yet but may change with better service.

Needs some help. Left isolated in the box, often surrounded. 5-3-2 or even 4-4-2 would suit him better.

Not seen a great deal that makes me think we should be splashing out to sign him in the summer.

7/10 but needs a goal. Presence, hold up & link play was needed.

Definitely refreshing to have an experienced striker, the goals will come

I’m not convinced by him , movement for me needs improving , very static , watched him closely yesterday , body language wasn’t great either , but poor service the reason , defo needs a goal soon and maybe we will see a different player , 🙏
