Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are gutted to learn that Jonny Castro Otto has suffered another ACL injury.

The Spanish defender only returned to the first-team picture in February after a six-month lay-off with the same issue.

News filtered through about Jonny in the lead up to last night’s game against West Ham United, with Wolves confirming the blow just before kick-off.

According to the club via a statement: “Jonny has suffered a reinjury to his right knee in training on Sunday.

“He will need surgery to the MCL and again to the ACL. It is awful news for him. He will see a specialist in London this week.”

Jonny was able to make just eight appearances this season before his latest setback.

It is terrible news for Wolves, with Jonny having shown an impressive level following his return.

There’s no word currently about how long he could be out for this time, but the first update from the club does not sound encouraging.
