Wolves fans deliver Vitor Pereira verdict after four consecutive Premier League losses

There is growing concern among Wolves fans about their chances of surviving Premier League relegation.

The Old Gold sit bottom of the table and are still the only team to not pick up a single point so far.

Vitor Pereira issued a rallying message to fans, insisting that things could still be turned around when he gets more time with the players.

However, supporters of the Wanderers may not give the Portuguese that time based on what they are saying about the manager.

Wolves fans growing concerned about Vitor Pereira

After Wolves lost to Newcastle, fans have taken to social media to express their concerns about the season so far, and many of them are about Vitor Pereira.

One fan said, “You cannot just play a team of defensive players and expect to get results. The lack of an outlet was blatantly obvious and at one stage we had 11% possession. Vitor Pereira has credit in the bank but he’s worrying me now…”

Another supporter said, “We are a sinking ship, put that on VP again today. Trying to get my head around the approach, tactics, no passage of play to put them under any pressure, created little. Why persist with wing backs on opposite flanks I don’t know. Looks lost on the sideline and the pitch.”

Meanwhile, many other fans are growing impatient with the Portuguese as manager as one said, “Get rid of Vitor Pereira.”

With other fans echoing those sentiments, saying, “Vitor ain’t the one.”

It was a widespread feeling about Pereira with one Wolves supporter saying, “The goodwill that Vitor built last season is now hanging by the thinnest of threads.”

The pressure is certainly building on Vitor Pereira at Wolves, and the next month will be crucial for the manager.

Pereira’s decision making will also cause a divide with fans if he keeps doing the same thing over and over again.

Wolves need to start picking up results, and looking ahead, that could be difficult.

The next month is crucial for Vitor Pereira at Wolves

Wolves’ fixtures do not get any easier, and given the position they are in, no game will be easy.

The matches against relegation candidates will be crucial six pointers, and the Old Gold must win those fixtures.

They have three in the next six games, with Leeds United at Molineux next Saturday and Sunderland away, and Burnley at home in October.

If Vitor Pereira’s side are still sitting in the relegation zone after the Burnley game, then his future at the club will no doubt be in question.

But until then, fans will have to trust that he can turn this around, as he did last season.
