Wolves fans concerned about Vitor Pereira’s answer to question about feeling pressure

Vitor Pereira has left Wolves fans concerned after his answer to a question about feeling pressure from the board.

So far this season has not gone to plan. The new signings have failed to adapt, and Wolves have been left tinkering with their squad and tactics to find a working solution.

Vitor Pereira has even hinted at putting players in new roles to pull the Wanderers out of their bleak situation.

It has been an unfruitful adventure thus far, with Wolves still winless after eight games, and that has left Pereira’s future in danger.

In his pre-Burnley press conference, the head coach was asked if he was feeling the tension surrounding his job, and his answer made fans frustrated.

Fans concerned about Wolves after Vitor Pereira’s response to question

Wolves fans are expecting results to change quickly if there is any hope left of surviving relegation this season.

However, Vitor Pereira’s admission that the board are not pressuring him after a string of eight games without a win has left them concerned.

In response to the question about internal pressure, Pereira said, “No, this is a club where you feel everybody is trying to help to get points and results.”

The reaction from fans online was overwhelmingly negative towards his answer, and they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their frustrations.

One fan replied to the answer, saying, “He should be feeling the pressure without a win in the league since April. Crazy how much money we wasted the past few years paying off managers.”

Another stated, “Imagine being 12 without a win in the league, sitting rock bottom and 5 points from safety after 8 games and having no pressure from above. What a club.”

One fan sarcastically responded by saying, “Must be a great feeling being at the bottom of the league.”

Another simply replied to the comment, saying, “All of this is a concern.”

A different supporter took the route of blaming the owners instead, stating, “He probably isn’t under pressure from above. Fosun doing the best impression of owner apathy in living memory.”

Vitor Pereira’s answer highlights the bigger issue

The response from Pereira, while concerning, does highlight the bigger issue at the club, and that is Fosun’s ambition for Wolves.

If a string of eight games without a win is not a cause for pressure on the manager, then they may end up making a decision when it becomes far too late.

They so far seem more than happy to let Wolves sleepwalk into the Championship.

After his work last season, Wolves fans would want nothing more than for Vitor Pereira to pull through and change the course for this season.

However, the current trajectory is a problem, and the lack of ‘pressure’ makes fans right to be frustrated.
