Bruno Lage isn’t particularly an adored figure at Wolves, but fans will be relieved by what the former manager is plotting.
In some ways, a lot has changed at Molineux since Lage departed, and in others, things are exactly the same.
Fosun can change the transfer policy at Wolves by financially supporting Vitor Pereira in the summer, otherwise, the Old Gold’s decline could drag on.
While Pereira waits to learn how the summer transfer window could look for Wolves, Lage is plotting how the future will look for his Benfica squad, with one move having the possibility to impact his former club.

Bruno Lage close to signing Joao Felix at Benfica
The Portuguese manager has been named alongside Wolves in recent months, as it’s understood that Benfica want to sign Nelson Semedo as a free agent.
Though Semedo’s future is not yet decided, it’s thought that the captain will leave Molineux at the expiration of his contract.
Semedo’s possible transfer to Benfica, interestingly, isn’t why Lage’s activity might be of interest to those in the West Midlands.
According to Record, Benfica are closing in on welcoming Joao Felix back to Lisbon, a name that has been uttered regarding Wolves.
Though the Old Gold haven’t been directly linked to the playmaker, Felix could be considered a transfer opportunity for Wolves.
Rumours strengthened when it was announced that Jorge Mendes will have a role to play at Wolves once more, but a contract for the struggling 25-year-old isn’t what some fans want to see.

Wolves fans don’t want Jorge Mendes to deliver Joao Felix to Wolves
After the news of Wolves’ restructuring on the transfer front broke, supporters started to put two and two together regarding the possibility of Felix being offered to those at Molineux.
“Screams Joao Felix to Wolves,” one fan said in reaction to the pending change, as another pleaded for the West Midlands club not to become a ‘landing spot’ for Felix.
“Players we don’t want to be a Gestifute-inspired landing spot for: Joao Felix, Thierry Correia, Ricardo Pereira, Renato Sanches, Danilo Pereira.”
Another fan joined the speculation by saying, “Insert Joao Felix rumours” in response to Mendes’ return to the scene at Wolves.
Concern was declared by another, who said, “Aw we’re definitely getting landed with Joao Felix.”
Some disagreed, as Felix is a top talent, but it’s fair to say that the Chelsea outsider has merely been coasting towards mediocrity for some time.
Lage is eager to take the 25-year-old on at Benfica, which will be music to some supporters’ ears, who are hoping not to see the former Atletico Madrid ace at Molineux anytime soon.
