Wolves fans bemoan their luck as Ait-Nouri and Hwang suffer injuries

Wolves fans were left cursing their luck last night as Rayan Ait-Nouri and Hwang Hee-chan both suffered injuries.

Wolves beat Brighton 1-0 at the Amex Stadium which was a really important result.

But the three points came at some cost, with Wolves’ already small squad having seemingly gotten thinner.

Ait-Nouri had been selected to start the game and continue his fine form of late.

But the Frenchman pulled up injured in the warm-up. He had to be replaced by Fernando Marcal.

Then in the early stages, Hwang sustained what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

He tried to play on, but the South Korean could not continue and was replaced by Adama Traore.

Wolves fans are now nervously awaiting updates on the pair.

After the game, Bruno Lage said that he made the decision on Ait-Nouri after he could tell just by looking at his face.

He stopped short of giving an update on his condition though, and didn’t mention Hwang.

Wolves having either player out of action would be a huge blow.

Both players have made big impressions this season, both on the fans and on Lage.
