Wolves fans are not happy with Gareth Southgate after England squad announcement

Gareth Southgate has today announced his latest England squad – and some Wolves fans are not happy.

The national team have World Cup qualifying games coming up against Albania and San Marino.

The Three Lions are in a commanding position in their group.

Currently they sit on 20 points, and need four more to progress to the finals in Qatar as group winners.

Southgate has announced his squad, and the headlines are that Kieran Trippier, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard have all missed out.

Marcus Rashford and Jude Bellingham are both back in after missing out through injury last time.

For Wolves, Conor Coady is in as expected. Since making his debut last year, the 28-year-old has not missed a single squad.

But fans have been expressing their disappointment that Coady’s Molineux teammate Max Kilman has been overlooked.

The defender has been the standout player for Wolves this season, playing every single minute under Bruno Lage.

On Monday, Kilman grabbed his first goal for the Wolves first-team against Everton and put in another fantastic display – in front of Southgate himself.

Aston Villa’s left-footer Tyrone Mings has made the squad, despite Dean Smith dropping him for their game against West Ham United on Sunday.

He has barely put a foot wrong this season.

It is a shame for Kilman because after these two matches there won’t be any more international games until later in 2022.

Here’s what some people said about Kilman’s snub:
