Wolves fans are making a very important point about Pablo Sarabia with Molineux exit now confirmed

Wolves must now attempt to replace Pablo Sarabia, after it was confirmed this afternoon that he is leaving the club.

The Spaniard is set for a new chapter, having decided not to sign a new contract at Molineux.

It’s not yet clear whether Wolves did offer a new deal, or whether they did and Sarabia just wasn’t interested or an agreement couldn’t be reached.

Either way, Sarabia – who says he’ll now be a Wolves fan for life – is to leave as a free agent.

He joined the club in January 2023 as one of a handful of signings tasked with helping Julen Lopetegui keep Wolves in the Premier League.

While he wasn’t always consistent, Pablo Sarabia had some excellent moments in a Wolves shirt and departs with the well-wishes of fans.

And some have been talking about one thing in particular about Sarabia, as the star now prepares to find a new club.

Sarabia was a player fans knew to be technically brilliant.

He was capable of doing things that no other player in the Wolves squad could do.

That goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux in the 2023/24 season was a thing of beauty, and his free-kick just weeks ago against Manchester United was another moment that left Wolves fans in awe.

But this afternoon, a lot of Wolves fans believe there is something to be said for how professional Sarabia was during his time at Molineux.

@hampshire93 said: “A true professional. Scored some massive goals for us, in huge games. Not to mention having serious technical ability. Thank you, Pablo #wwfc”

@dansharp, who is actually a journalist at Wolves, said: “A top professional and a genuine, decent human being. You won’t find anyone at #Wolves who doesn’t wish Pablo the very best #wwfc.”

@WillAddedDigits said: “Had more reason to complain than most to be fair but always kept his head down and delivered in some important moments. If you could combine him and Munetsi into a single player, you’d have a world beater.”

@808Slates added: “All the very best Pablo it’s been pleasure a gifted technician who goes about things on and off the pitch with real professionalism #wwfc”

@wellygogs said: “Magic on his day and a top professional. All the best Pablo.”

It was suggested a few weeks ago that Sarabia was ‘very good’ behind the scenes at Wolves, and someone who was well respected and never kicked up a fuss.

He could perhaps have had reason to be a bit disgruntled at times due to not being in the team. So there is a lot to be said for Sarabia carrying himself so well.

Sarabia will be missed, but his Wolves exit is no surprise

Sarabia leaving Wolves is sad to see, because he undoubtedly brought a lot of joy to the fans with the way he played the game.

Yes, he lacked consistency and did sometimes frustrate.

But when he was on it, he was a joy to watch.

Ultimately, his exit is no real surprise. Sarabia was reportedly on eye-watering money at Wolves, and the club likely didn’t want to continue paying him the same wage to potentially have a reduced role.

There will be plenty of clubs out there who can offer him similar money or more, and also guarantee him regular football.
