Jhon Arias has not lived up to expectations at Wolves, and now supporters are beginning to lose patience with him.
The winger has been the subject of talk about him leaving the club in the winter window, and much of that has come from his struggle to perform in England.
Galatasaray are one of a number of teams linked with Arias ahead of January. However, Wolves have said Arias is staying.
And that sentiment was echoed by Arias’ entourage.
There was some sympathy for the Colombian earlier in the season, as coming to a new league and new culture was always going to bring an adaptation period.
But we are now four months into the Premier League season, and that grace period is running out among fans.
Keep or sell Jhon Arias in January?
Wolves fans are growing concerned about Jhon Arias
Jhon Arias’ arrival brought a lot of excitement after the Colombian impressed throughout the Club World Cup for Fluminense.
The winger was one of the better players in the competition, and his starring role for the Brazilian outfit got Arias nominated for FIFA’s Best Men’s Midfielder award.
It shows there is a quality player in there, but concern is growing about the attacker and whether he is the right fit for the club and the Premier League.
Arias did not start against Crystal Palace, but with Wolves chasing the game, Rob Edwards introduced him into the action in the 75th minute.
It was a short time to make an impact, but one particular moment stood out: when Arias essentially scuffed a golden opportunity for a goal against Crystal Palace.

Here is what Wolves fans have been saying.
@Overnight0ats, “That open goal miss from Jhon Arias just booked his one-way flight back to Brazil lol. Sorry, comrade, you gave it a good go, but Prem football is just not for you.”
@aid1710, “He’s been absolutely woeful in every second he’s played. Absolute con that we were made to think he was a decent Cunha replacement.”
@BCarter89, “He will be gone in Jan. The way he’s playing, he wouldn’t cut it in the Championship.”
@v6Paddy, “Back to Brazil, Jhon.”
@davemo1988, “That was a terrible miss… terrible signing.”
@MRolly_24, “Back to South America you go.”
While supporters are starting to lose patience and have started to question his arrival, Jhon Arias recently said he will turn things around at Wolves.

Jhon Arias’ miss could go down as one of the worst of the season
The miss by Jhon Arias was quite bad, and based on last season, it could be one of the worst come the end of the campaign.
According to SofaScore, the chance accumulated an xG of 0.82.
And if it happened in the 2024/2025 Premier League season, that would have put it joint fourth for the worst miss.
In the top five last season, Richarlison missed an effort worth 0.79 xG, and Kevin de Bruyne matched the quality of chance missed by Arias with a shot coming to 0.82 xG.
Overall, while we are just 12 games into the season, it does show how bad it truly was, and there is a chance he will enter this year’s top five.
