Rob Edwards is already making a big difference at Wolves, and that is not going unnoticed by fans.
The Old Gold battled their way against Aston Villa, but a moment of quality from Jean-Bellegarde dampened their hopes.
Defensively, Wolves were great, and that was down to the tactics, as well as the leadership and organisation of Toti Gomes.
Wolves had chances but fell short against Aston Villa
Jorgen Strand Larsen felt the Wanderers were the better side, and you would not be crazy to agree. How often have fans been able to do that this season?
And now those improvements at the club have got fans talking.
Wolves fans are seeing a different team than under Vitor Pereira with Rob Edwards

Rob Edwards is just two games into his tenure at Wolves, and already his tactics have been getting approval.
Marc Albrighton was left impressed by how the Old Gold set up against Aston Villa, and that followed on just a week after Adam Wharton said the Wanderers were tough to play.
Early signs are certainly positive, and the head coach had lots of good things to take away from playing Villa.
However, he will also be pleased about the reaction from fans.
The verdict is in for the Old Gold players…
During and after the match, Wolves fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise Edwards.
One fan said, “Rob Edwards has a great understanding of what needs to be done when you are playing against significantly stronger teams, i.e., smart fouling and going to ground from weak challenges. Improvements.”
Another stated, “Can’t knock the shift today; quality just isn’t there. At least Rob got them putting in the effort, something Vitor couldn’t. It’s on Fosun, Vitor and Teti. As long as the players we do have give everything, I can deal with going down, as they just aren’t very good.”
A different supporter simply said, “Clear improvement under Rob Edwards.”
And that was backed up by another saying, “We are playing better under Rob Edwards.”
Meanwhile, one fan exclaimed, “Fair play to Rob and the team. They gave their all today, and he got pretty much everything right. Just lack quality massively.”
And a fan responded to that with, “Glad to see some positivity; thought they played their socks off!”
Finally, one fan pointed out the reaction of Edwards at the end of the game and how Wolves should have gotten more from it.
They said, “Edward’s reaction at the end with the fans showed how much the guy cares. Seemed truly gutted we didn’t get anything out of that today, when I felt we certainly deserved at least a draw. Got to be better in that final third, though.”
Overall, it seems the early verdict is that Rob Edwards is doing a decent job so far, but the main goal of survival may already be out of reach due to what he has been handed.

Vitor Pereira and Domenico Teti may have given Rob Edwards too big a task

If Wolves go down, there will be absolutely no blame attached to the head coach, as the Old Gold’s problems stem from long before he arrived.
The summer transfer window is the culprit, and Vitor Pereira is not blameless. Alongside Domenico Teti, the pair brought the club into the season without the right additions.
Jeff Shi and Fosun will also take blame, but Pereira’s requirements for players to sign narrowed down their options, and with a club like Wolves, who have been on the lower side of the Premier League the last few years, that was not a smart move.
While Wolves are looking better under Edwards, it may be too little too late. The damage at Molineux looks to already be done, and as the weeks pass, the gap to safety widens.
The job at hand may be too big, but there have been great escapes before. However, Wolves likely need a miracle.
