Domenico Teti is set to stay at Wolves despite Vitor Pereira being sacked.
Teti was brought in as the director of professional football earlier in the summer, having previously worked alongside Pereira in Saudi Arabia.
Fans were unsure of whether the Italian would leave alongside the head coach, but a report revealed Teti was a club hire and is staying.
The 49-year-old played a big role in Wolves’ summer transfer window, one which has been criticised by fans.
Now, those same supporters have been reacting to the news that Teti is set to stay.

Wolves fans react to Domenico Teti staying
When news of Domenico Teti staying at the club surfaced, it caused quite the discussion on social media.
Wolves’ summer recruitment has been largely criticised, and so far, most of the signings have yet to make an impact.
Ladislav Krejci is the only one you could say with certainty has been a success.
Of course, with Teti playing a big role in the transfer window, he has received quite a bit of blame, and that is evident in what fans are saying about him continuing in his role.
One Wolves fan said, “I fear the worst with this clown in charge of recruitment.”
While a different supporter stated, “So far my confidence in what he’s achieved leaves me a tad nervous.”
Another sarcastically said, “How incredibly reassuring.”
Meanwhile, someone stated, “More bad news, there’s no end to it.”
Others sent comments such as “He has been a waste of time,” and “He didn’t do well finding players… Let’s see.”
With one Wolves fan throwing back to Jeff Shi’s comments on the summer window, “Ah, so Jeff is really convinced it was a ‘good’ summer window, huh?”
Overall, the sentiment towards Teti is resoundingly negative, and the Italian must get the fans back on side with two crucial decisions coming up.
Domenico Teti must get managerial appointment correct and have a good January window
If Teti is to get fans back on his side, he will have to make sure the right manager is hired.
His reputation among supporters over the next few months will be based on this appointment and how well the club recruits in the January window.
So far, he is not in their good books.
There is still plenty of football left to be played, and while survival looks extremely difficult, the Old Gold have been in this position before.
Not only will the football on the pitch decide the future of the Wanderers, but so will the decisions by those higher up.
Rui Borges has ruled himself out of the running as he looks to continue on with Sporting CP.
Meanwhile, Michael Carrick did not give any hints away about his future on Match of the Day as he continues to be linked with the role.
Teti certainly has a big decision to make.
