Wolves fans are all saying the same thing about Pedro Lima to Wrexham loan rumours

The summer transfer window is an opportunity for young players to head out on loan and experience regular first-team football elsewhere.

January signing Nasser Djiga was loaned to Rangers in July as the 22-year-old was fifth or sixth choice at Wolves and needed to play regular football.

Pedro Lima, who Wolves signed for £8.4 million from Sport Recife last summer, finds himself in a similar position.

With the Old Gold looking to sign a Nelson Semedo replacement, the Brazilian could become the fourth choice in the right wing-back role behind Rodrigo Gomes and Ki-Jana Hoever.

Wolves fans have mooted a loan for Lima after watching him struggle in the Stoke City friendly, and now, the door could have opened for him to leave.

Wrexham have been linked with Pedro Lima

Lima has only made six senior appearances for Wolves, making his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest in January.

Although Lima impressed against Forest despite the 3-0 defeat, the 19-year-old would benefit from a loan out of Molineux.

The Championship has been suggested as a possible destination for the youngster, and according to Express & Star journalist Liam Keen, Wrexham have shown an interest in the Brazilian.

“Lima is an interesting one. He will be going off with Brazil in the 20s for a tournament with them, which I think is around September time, so he will be off for a little bit during the season,” Keen said on the E&S pod.

“But he’s being lined up for a loan move as it stands, whether that happens in the summer or because of these Brazilian matches, whether he maybe goes in January instead.

“Wolves like him, obviously. But yeah, he needs to go and play I think and not be sat around doing anything.

“So that’s the plan for him, Wrexham in the Championship have been, are a team that have shown an interest in taking him. So that could be one that moves.”

Wrexham have already signed Wolves hero Conor Coady, and supporters have given their thoughts on Lima joining him in Wales.

Wolves fans are happy for Lima to join Wrexham

Lima is an exciting, attacking wing-back who likes to play on the front foot. For that reason, he may not suit Phil Parkinson’s route one style at Wrexham. However, the Englishman does play a 3-5-2 system, with a spot available at right wing-back.

Reacting to this transfer rumour on X, Wolves fans would be happy for him to join Wrexham, with one supporter writing: “Yes please. Looks like we’re getting a new rwb in, then after Hoever and Rodrigo he’d be 4th string. Let him go out to the championship and get regular minutes next to Coady.”

“Would be a good move all around except we currently don’t have a first choice RB, so we seriously need to be bringing someone in if he’s leaving for loan as we need depth as well,” someone else agreed, but also pointed out that Wolves need to sign someone.

“Good move for him that. Get some much needed minutes and development at a good level. He will be a great player but he’s not ready yet,” a third wrote.

“No issues with this if he gets game time and we have cover,” another commented, and a sixth said: “This would be a great opportunity for him! I hope there won’t be a buy option though.”

The Championship is known for being physically demanding, so if Wrexham were to land Lima, he would benefit from the experience massively.
